Thomas McDermid

Thomas Matthew McDermid, Sr., born on 6/6/29 in Chicago, Il, formerly of Halfmoon,  NY and resided in Bradenton for last 35 years, passed away October 31, 2012.

Survived by beloved wife, Therese Browne McDermid; children: deceased son, Gerald of Bradenton, Eileen (Ronald) Lanzetta  of Malta, NY, Thomas Jr. of Bradenton, Daniel (Maria) of Halfmoon, NY, Colleen (Steven) Andrew, Winter Park, Kelley, Bradenton; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Survived by brother Robert, Ellenton, Patricia Bosch, Albany, NY, James , Rome, NY, Deceased sister Lucille Cassidy, Bradenton & many loving nieces
and nephews, and a friend of Bill W since 1975.

Member of St. Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America Local #370.

Devoted life to God, family,  friends & his trade as a master carpenter & general superintendent.  He was responsible for the construction of numerous schools, water treatment plants, condominiums, nursing homes & more in NYS and the Bradenton.

Tom delighted & warmed the hearts of many throughout his life with his gift of merriment, singing, dancing and telling jokes.  He was an inspiration to all & will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
