Thomas J. Clark, 83, of Bradenton, FL and Highland Park, IL, died peacefully at home with the aid of Tidewell Hospice, surrounded by his family. Tom was born and raised in Highland Park, IL. He served in the US Army during the Occupation of Japan, 1946-48. On January 27, 1951, Tom married Ann Louise Steacy (deceased). Tom & Ann had 33 wonderful years together and raised 4 children. On August 10, 1985 Tom married Diane Jazwierski, and got the package deal with 2 teenage sons.
Tom owned Bishop Heating in Highland Park, IL with his son. In 1986 Tom received the North Shore Magazine Man of the Year award for his charity work. He was deeply involved in his faith and organized the Highland Park Youth Group. Tom was instrumental in moving the old fire house to a new location for the youth group. In 2000 Tom received the Holbrook Award from Lake County Catholic Charities and the Volunteer of the Year award from his church.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Diane, sons, Tom (Rose), William (Rita), Ed Jazwierski (Becky), Mark Jazwierski, and daughters, Patricia Harris and Elizabeth (Toby) Miller, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, beloved brother of Catherine Boilini, Marian O'Connor (deceased), Mary Turrin (deceased), brother-in-law to Judy (Robert) Cassiani and Ron (Linda) Wozniak.
Funeral Information:
Mass will be held at Ss Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church in Bradenton at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday July 28, 2012.
Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel in charge.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ss Peter Paul Parrish in Bradenton, Tidewell Hospice, Inc, Lake County Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago Christmas Gift Program, or Immaculate Conception Parish in Highland Park.
