Obituary:

On Saturday, June 23rd, Thelma H. Rossman, made her heavenly journey home. She was born on October 26, 1921 in Tampa, Florida the daughter of Addie and Charles B. Harden.  Thelma married William H. Rossman on August 28, 1938.

Thelma retired in 1983 from the Manatee County School system, where she worked in the cafeteria at Orange Ridge Bullock Elementary.

Thelma was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Bill Rossman;  parents, Alberta and Charles Harden; grandson, Brian Fielding, and sister, Helen Hastings.

Thelma is survived by six children and their spouses:  Lee (Barbara) Rossman of Eastpoint, FL; Ann (Murray) Harrison of Pavo, GA; Jean (Ed) Fielding of Stuart, FL; Merilyn (Kevin) Webb of Parrish, FL; John (Lori) Rossman of Palm Beach, FL; and Linda (Jon) Morris of Sedalia, KY.  Grandchildren: Carol Davis, Alan Rossman, Wesley Harrison, Katharine Harrison, Dodd Fielding, Laird Fielding, Matthew Webb, Amanda Deen, Brad Rossman, Brian Rossman, Brent Rossman, Daryl Neal, David Neal and Ryan Neal.  She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren and her sister, Frieda Schofield.

Dr. Raitz was Mom's wonderful physician and friend throughout the years. His care and compassion were truly a comfort to the family.

Thelma was previously a member of the West Bradenton Church of Christ and currently a member of the Palmetto Church of Christ. She loved serving the Lord, singing hymns and being of service to others.

Mom led by example and created a home where love, laughter and wonderful meals were shared and treasured by family and friends.  She made friends easily due to her gift of making everyone around her feel special.  Mom was loved and will be missed by many.



Funeral Information:

A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 29th from 6:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel at 604 43rd Street West in Bradenton, FL.  Her Service will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel.

Donations to Tidewell Hospice Care at 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238 in her memory would be appreciated.
