Roy Woodruff

Roy J. Woodruff, 86, Bradenton, died May 1, 2012.

Born in Michigan City, Indiana he moved to Bradenton in 1973, he was a U.S. Army Veteran during World War II, and he was owner/operator of Woodruff & Sons, Inc. since 1946 in Michigan City, Indiana and Bradenton, Florida.

Predeceased by parents, William and Emma Woodruff; brothers, Lawrence, Louis, John, Frank, and Glenn; sisters, Dorothy Murray and Viola Smith; survived by wife, Delores of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Linda (Jerry) Wakeman of Bradenton, FL; sons, Bruce of Bradenton, FL, Don (Debbie) of Palmetto, FL; brothers, William (Karin), Frederick (Janet)both of Michigan City, IN; sisters, Mary Jane Steinhagen of Michigan City, IN, Barbara (Jim) Daly of Mill Creek IN; grandchildren, Melissa Wakeman, Marcie (Jeff) Hackman, Catherine (Matt) Anderson, Chad Wakeman, Joe Woodruff, Gina Woodruff, T.J. Woodruff, Gabrielle Woodruff, and Kassandra Woodruff; great grandchildren, Avery, and Kinley Hackman, Maddison and Taylor Anderson, and Lily Woodruff.

Visitation 5:00-8:00 P.M. Friday May 4, 2012 at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.

Services 11:00 A.M. Saturday May 5, 2012 at West Bradenton Baptist Church 1305 43rd St West Bradenton, FL 34209.

Memorial Services will also be at held a later date in Michigan City, Indiana.
