Obituary:

Roger P. Proulx passed away at home in Bradenton, FL on February 18, 2013 at the age of 67.
He is survived by his beloved and loving wife of 13 years Martha Jane Proulx whom he married on January 15, 2000 in Londonderry, NH. His parents, Marcel and Lorette Proulx and his brother Richard predecease Roger.
He is loving remembered by his son Michael of Hampstead, NH, his daughter Michelle Frigo of Manchester, NH, stepson Joshua Vogel of Brookline, MS, stepdaughter Erin Vogel of Bradenton, FL, sisters Linda Littell of Kennebunkport, ME, Mary Brennan of Newbury, MA, Betty Gilpin, Amherst, NH, six grandchildren, brothers-in-law John Brennan Larry Gilpin, and Jeff Mellen, and several nieces and nephews.   His friends, neighbors, and the many students in the Bradenton area whose lives he touched will sorely miss him.
Roger was born October 8, 1945 in Robins Warner, GA.  After graduation from Bishop Brady High School in 1963 he went on to earn a Bachelor's from Saint Anselms College in 1967.  He served a tour of active duty in Vietnam from 1967-1969 and retired from the Army Reserves in 1991.  He worked as a business consultant, owned a performance management company, and most recently was the Regional Support Manager for the Robotics Education Foundation for Florida schools.
Roger served over 3,000 hours volunteer hours in the Manatee County school system at Lee Middle School, Bayshore High School, and the Manatee County Technology Student Association.   He was a season ticket holder for the Pittsburg Pirates, a member of the West Central Florida Mustang Club, and a member of the Canadian Genealogical Society.  He enjoyed reading in his pool, going to the movies, and Anna Maria Island beaches.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Manatee Beach Park (south end) on Holmes Beach, Anna Maria Island on Friday, Feb.22, 2013 at 5:30 PM.  Online tributes can be sent to http://memorial.yourtribute.com/rogerpproulx.
Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to:  Florida TSA, P.O. Box 121614, W. Melbourne, FL  32912 ?Roger P. Proulx Memorial Scholarship? or to Bayshore High School TSA, 5401 34th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34210. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel in charge.
