Born in South Amboy, NJ, he moved to Bradenton in 1996 from South River, NJ.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, he was Past Master and Grand Officer of the Philo Masonic Lodge 243 in New Jersey, was a Shriner, a member of Model A Restorers Club of Sarasota, the Antique Automobile Club of America and was a volunteer firefighter in New Jersey.
Survived by wife, Ruth of Bradenton, FL; daughters, Susan (Dr. Nicholas) Grosso and Linda Cole of Ellicott City, MD; sister, Katharine Roberts of Palm Harbor, FL; grandchildren, Denise (Steve) Patti, Michelle Grosso, Jamie & Jacob Cole.

Visitation 6:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday May 26, 2012 with Masonic Service at 7:00 P.M. at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
Services 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 27, 2012 at First United Methodist Church 603 11th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34205.
