Pamela Jean Gilkey McDonald, 61, of Bradenton, FL went to Heaven April 8, 2011. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Bradenton two years ago from Lexington, Kentucky. She was the owner of P.J.’s Barber Shop on Limestone St. in Lexington for fifteen years. She was raised in the Cleveland Home in Versailles, Kentucky. ‘The Barber’ as she was memorably known, was also a loving and giving human being, and loved her University of Kentucky Wildcats. She loved, was loved, and her favorite saying was ‘Everyday is Christmas’. She was preceded in death by her sister, Donna F. Gilkey. She is survived by her brother Richard A. Gilkey, sisters, Carole (Bob) Seal, Linda H. Redmon, and Georgia A. Bush, nieces and nephews, Joe Hendricks, Marta Jean Pearson, Andy Bush, Tommy Kelly, Becky Lemley, Joe Shelton, and Grayson Gilkey, several great nieces and nephews, and her significant other, Larry Zielinski.
