Michael Ertel

Michael L. Ertel, 67, Bradenton, passed away June 23, 2012. Michael was born on June 10, 1945 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Mr. & Mrs. Donald Jr. & Thelma (Tyler) Ertel. He retired in 1983 as a trainman and conductor working for the P.R.R., Penn-Central and Conrail Railroads. He was also the former owner of three night clubs in Ft. Wayne, IN and retired again in 1992. Michael moved to Bradenton in 1996 coming from Ft. Wayne. He was predeceased by his mother in 2009 and is survived by his loving wife, Nickie of Bradenton, two daughters; Angela of Omaha, NE, Shawn     of  Denver, CO,  father, Donald J. Sr. of Ft. Wayne, two brothers; Donald Jr. of Ft. Wayne, Danny (Sonia) of El Salvador, two sisters; Dorothy (Robert) Bolyard of Scottsdale, AZ, Kathy (Greg) Lantz of Bristol, IN. 

Services will be 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel, 5610 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. Memorials may be made to either Bishop Animal Shelter or TideWell Hospice in his memory. Condolences for the family may be made online at www.shannonfuneralhomes.com
