Born in Mac Roberts, Kentucky she moved to Sarasota in 2007 from Colombia City, Indiana.
She was voted Woman of the Year in Who's Who magazine, was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Oneco Post, Eagles, Vice President of H.O.A. at Winds of St. Armands, and she attended Oneco United Methodist Church.
Her family was present at time of death.
Predeceased by daughter, Pamela; survived by husband of 52 1/2 years, Eddie of Sarasota, FL; sons, Thomas (Jodie) of Churubusco, IN, Brian (Alex) of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Becky (Troy) Morches of Bradenton, FL; brother, David Sturgill of Pierceston, IN; sister, Margaret Kintzel of South Whitley, IN; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Visitation 11:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. with Services to follow at 1:00 P.M. Friday May 4, 2012 at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel.
