Obituary:
Maryann Cotton Vinall, 94, passed away in her residence in Freedom Village Retirement Center in Bradenton, FL. Maryann was born Maryann Schultz on Long Island, in New York. She worked for Grumman Aircraft during World War II. After the war she married returning Air Force Veteran Arthur Cotton and they lived in the Glen Cove, NY area. She had a long career as a stenographer in the Criminal Court System of Nassau County. She and Arthur built a home in the Brookville area of Long Island and had a long and happy marriage. After losing her husband to cancer, Maryann met and married William Vinall. They eventually moved in 2000 to Freedom Village in Bradenton. Bill taught her the game of bridge which she learned to love and played as often as six times per week. They had a great love for animals and animal rights. Maryann's memory and legacy will be preserved through her generous donation to the Manatee Community Foundation in support of animals.
