Obituary:

Jane Carol (Gullett) Egert, 71, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 in Bradenton, Florida. She was a lifetime resident of Manatee County. She was born in Duette, Florida on December 24, 1942, the ninth of twelve children. She was preceded in death by parents, Asa and Frances (Randolph) Gullett; sister, Martha; brothers Benjamin and Flint. She is survived by sisters, Evelyn Graves, Daisy Bryant, Mary Muncey and Susanna Faircloth; brothers, Paul, Augustus, Frank and James. She is also survived by her children, Kathy (Reid) Perry (Ralph), Jennifer (Reid) Butler (Ron), Charles Reid (Debra), Matthew Reid (Stacy), and Michele Mathews; step children, Daniel and Steven Egert and Sarah (Egert) Konieczka, of San Diego; grandchildren, Lindsey Bird (Bobby) and Jacob McCullah; Reid, Jameson and Quinton Butler; Adam, Sage and Sloane Reid; Grant Reid; Allen (Mercedes), Brandon (Adriana) and Brittany Cook; and great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Nathan, Amelia and Kobe Cook; Xavier Cook; and Tristen Bird. Jane graduated from Madison College in Madison, Tennessee and worked for over 40 years as a medical coder at Manatee Memorial Hospital and South Bay Hospital. Family and friends were Jane’s passion and delight.  She loved the beach, watching the sunset, and the Florida sunshine. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. 



Funeral Information:

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Bradenton Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2106 17th Avenue West, in Bradenton, Florida. Arrangements were provided by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Tidewell Hospice, Inc. in Bradenton at www.tidewell.org.  Condolences to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
