Eleanor D’Aveta Cannon, “Ellie” 65, Bradenton, Fl, formerly of Somerville, MA, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, Flroida.. She was born on October 30, 1945 in Cambridge, MA to the late Enio & Antoinette D’Aveta. Eleanor was a graduate of Somerville High School in Somerville, MA, and retired from New England Telephone with over 30 years of service. Survived by son, Artie (Eileen) Cannon of Middleboro, MA, brother, Carl (Carol) D’Aveta of Framingham, MA, nieces, Carla D’Aveta of Raleigh, NC, Caryn Wash of Fayetteville, NC, and her treasured friend, companion and “second son”, her dog Chico. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at St. Gerald Majella Church in Canton, MA.
