Obituary:
Alan Lee Lane, 60, Bradenton, died March 28, 2011. He was born October 5, 1950 in Eldorado, IL to the late James & Iona (Wilson) Lane. He has been a resident of Bradenton for over 22 years coming from Lakeland where he lived for seven years moving there from the Nassau, Bahamas. While living in Nassau he began his career in Christian Education where he taught at the Kings Way Academy and went on to serve as principal when he added the High School. Alan served locally as the Youth Minister at the First United Methodist Church in Bradenton for 14 years, and was a teacher and principal of the Sunshine Academy at The First Church of God in Bradenton for several years. He was also a member of The First Church of God in Bradenton where he served as the Children’s Pastor. He is survived by his wife of 35 ½ years, Grace, three daughters; Krystina (Kevin) Kolbe, Rebekah Lane, Kimberley (Buddy) Martin all of Bradenton, brother, Jeffrey Michael (Denise) Lane of McNaughton, WI, two sisters, Bonnie & Carol of Palmetto, and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at The First Church of God, 2520 43rd Street West, Bradenton.
