Obituary:

George Tooker, beloved father of Kathleen Granstad and Maureen Loveland, passed away on January 20, 2013. He was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, November 13, 1920 to George and Eleanor Tooker. After graduating from Dickenson High School in Jersey City, New Jersey, he became a first class machinist. George served in Pearl Harbor as a machinist in the Naval Reserves. After the War, he lived in Teaneck and Bay Head, New Jersey working as a machinist. George and his wife, Agnes moved to Holmes Beach, Florida in 1976 where they restored houses. He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Bernard, a member of Anna Maria Art League, and the Senior Adventures Club. George is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Kathleen and Dennis Granstad, and Maureen and Fred Loveland. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Jessica and Bryan Rich, Amanda Granstad, Greg and Ashley Granstad, Sarah Loveland, and two great grandchildren, Zachary and Sophia Rich.



Funeral Information:

A Memorial Service will take place at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Holmes Beach at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 26, 2013. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209 in charge. Donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Inc. 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238, who provided George with such wonderful care. We would like to thank Windsor Oaks and Hospice for their great care of our father. Condolences www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
