The Marauders (10-5) defeated the Jupiter Hammerheads (6-9) 5-3 on Friday night at McKechnie Field. Bradenton opened up a 5-0 lead and fended off a late Jupiter rally to improve its winning streak to a season-best five games.

The Marauders (9-5) gained sole possession of first place in the Florida State League South Division with a come from behind 2-1 win against the Jupiter Hammerheads (6-8) on Thursday night at McKechnie Field. Bradenton scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning against Jupiter reliever Juan Sosa (L, 0-1).

The Bradenton Marauders face the High-A affiliates of Florida’s Major League Baseball teams during a five-game home stand starting on tonight. Bradenton faces the Jupiter Hammerheads (Miami Marlins) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, then plays Monday and Tuesday against the Charlotte Stone Crabs (Tampa Bay Rays) at McKechnie Field. All five games start at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Friday's game will include an "It All Begins in Bradenton" t-shirt giveaway presented by DOS Imaging for the first 500 fans.

The Marauders (8-5) remained in a tie for first in the South Division by shutting out the Palm Beach Cardinals (6-7) for a second consecutive night at Roger Dean Stadium. The 4-0 win completes a series sweep of the Cardinals and a 4-2 road trip for the Marauders. Palm Beach didn’t advance a runner past second base in the final 19 innings of the series.

Three Marauders (7-5) pitcher teamed on a six-hit shutout on Tuesday night, earning a 5-0 win over the Palm Beach Cardinals (6-6) at Roger Dean Stadium. The Cardinals stranded 10 runners and failed to advance a runner to third in the game.

As the laps wound down on Saturday night's 75-lap Turner Tree and Landscape Super Late Model feature at Desoto Speedway, Jeff Scofield knew he had a car capable of winning but had to be a little patient. Scofield would eventually prove the saying that "good things happen to those who wait" can actually be true. Riding in third place for most of the race, Scofield capitalized on a late restart and powered to his first win of the season at Desoto.

The Marauders (5-4) seized a 1-0 win at the expense of the Jupiter Hammerheads (3-6) on Saturday night at Roger Dean Stadium. Orlando Castro (W, 2-0) earned the win with six scoreless innings, teaming with Robby Rowland and Jhondaniel Medina to retire the final 14 Hammerheads batters. The win is Bradenton’s first shutout victory of the season.
