BRADENTON — The new lead instructor of the Culinary Arts Department at Manatee Technical Institute, Jamie Gregorich, will talk about her fast rise in the culinary world from MTI to Euphemia Haye to Fox Television's Hell’s Kitchen and back in a talk at 7 p.m. this Thursday at MTI's Wagner Auditorium. Prior to joining MTI, Chef Jamie spent a number of years at the prestigious Euphemia Haye Restaurant, working under award-winning chefs and refining her skills to become an integral part of a busy kitchen.

She also spent two years learning the classical French techniques needed to survive in the highly competitive and ever-changing culinary industry. Jamie is a proud graduate of the culinary program at MTI and a two-time national competitor in the culinary arts field.

Chef Jamie’s skills, knowledge and passion earned her a spot on Hell’s Kitchen in 2011. In her current role at MTI, she is a passionate mentor and instructor and is committed to motivating and teaching her students to become great cooks and contributors to the culinary industry.

The American Culinary Federation Certified Sous Chef enjoys sharing about her experiences, inspirations and passion for her art. She will give plenty of opportunity for  questions and answers.

The talk will be the second of a new series of discussions at Manatee Technical Institute. The purpose of the “Meet the Instructor” series is to give the community the opportunity to learn more about the talented faculty at MTI, to create a stronger sense of community, and to encourage an exchange of ideas.

We watched Jamie grow-up across the street from us. her accomplishments elicit a lot of pride from her former neighbors, who are certain her parents are equally proud. Congratulations Jamie!
