Movers and Shakers: TreeUmph! Adventure Course Welcomes New Operations Manager

Published Thursday, April 17, 2014

BRADENTON – TreeUmph! Adventure Course, Southwest Florida’s first treetop obstacle course, has announced the expansion of its staff with a recent hire. Jason Pitsas will join the team in April 2014 to serve as operations manager and address the park’s growing popularity with local residents and visitors from around the world.

Jason Pitsas has worked in the aerial adventure industry since early 2007. For the last three years, he has been the operations manager at Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course in Bolton Landing, New York. Jason is also the lead instructor for Outplay Adventures, where he has trained over 150 adventure park guides across the United States since 2009 – including many of the staff at TreeUmph! Adventure Course. “Jason’s depth of experience, outstanding training skills and overall enthusiasm will help further the success of TreeUmph! as a safe, fun and unique destination for thrill-seekers of all ages,” said Kathy Corr, co-owner of TreeUmph! Adventure Course. “By integrating his demonstrated talents with our team, we will continue to deliver the best possible aerial adventure experience that Florida has to offer!”

Since first opening its doors in January 2013, TreeUmph! Adventure Course has attracted an estimated annual draw of 30,000 people to the East Manatee region and expanded to 28 staff. Located on a lush 14-acre property in East Bradenton, the park can serve up to 400 people per day as they walk on wobbly bridges and tight ropes, glide through the air on Tarzan swings, and reach new heights on soaring ZIP lines. TreeUmph! Adventure Course has also emerged as a popular venue for groups such as corporate organizations, conference retreats, athletic teams and others seeking team-building exercises to enhance motivation.
