Country Up and Comer to Play McKechnie Concert

BRADENTON – Rising country music star Craig Campbell will play a post-game concert at McKechnie Field on Tuesday, March 25. The Pirates play the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:05 p.m. The Pirates have partnered with Legacy of Valor to hold a Salute to Veterans at the game, including Campbell’s post-game concert, presented in partnership with 106.5 CTQ.

Campbell’s career took off in 2010 when he signed with Bigger Picture Music Group. He released his first studio album, Craig Campbell, in 2011. Last year he released his second album, Never Regret. The Georgia native has produced such hit songs as “Family Man”, “Fish”, and his current single “Keep Them Kisses Coming”.

Before signing his first record deal, Campbell played keyboard for the bands of Tracy Byrd and Luke Bryan. He was discovered and signed while working a regular gig at a Nashville, TN establishment, The Stage.

The first 2,500 fans will receive a Pirates camouflage cap as they enter McKechnie Field. Tickets start at $14 and tickets purchased in advance are discounted $2 off day-of-game pricing. There is no additional cost for the Craig Campbell concert. Purchasing a ticket to the Pirates game is the only way to gain admission to the concert.

Radio personalities Maverick and Lulu from 106.5 CTQ will be on-site at McKechnie Field for the game and concert. The station will also be giving away a limited number of tickets in the days preceding the event.

The Legacy of Valor campaign works to provide community events focused on honoring and supporting America’s veterans. More than 40 partner organizations in Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties have teamed with Legacy of Valor to show support for veterans.
