This Week in Local Government: February 17-21, 2014

BRADENTON – Manatee County government offices will be closed for President's Day. The BOCC will hold a work session on Tuesday, when it will discuss FEMA flood insurance rate maps and proposed service improvements and fare modifications to public transit. The Bradenton City Council will meet for a workshop on Wednesday morning, and the City of Bradenton Planning Commission will have a workshop and regular meeting that afternoon. The Manatee Port Authority meeting that had been scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled; its next meeting will now be at the BOCC's Feb. 25 regular meeting.
