The Bradenton Times Polls

Poll Question: Which of the following best describe how you feel about elementary school security?

We should have a county deputy in every school, even at an average cost of $144,00 each  We should spend the current $1 million budgeted on 7 roaming deputies  The budgeted funds should be spent on better securing the buildings; ie. security doors, lockdown switches, cameras, etc.  The funds should go to educational needs and any police presence should be a function of law enforcement in that community and its budget More polls »

BRADENTON -- Super Bowl XLVIII between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks will be played today at the all-new Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:25 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on FOX with Terry Bradshaw, Curt Menefee, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Pam Oliver,  Erin Andrews and Jay Glazer broadcasting the pre/post-game, game time and halftime activities.

Fox's Super Bowl pregame show will begin at 2 p.m. The pre-game broadcast will include Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly's live interview with President Barack Obama beginning at approximately  4:30 p.m. The 10-minute interview will take place at the White House.

The SUper Bowl halftime show will feature pop-sensation Bruno Mars alongside the Red Hot Chili Peppers. World renowned opera singer Renée Fleming will perform the National Anthem before the start of the game.

A much-anticipated factor in the game will be the extreme cold weather, given that this is the first time the NFL has chosen a cold weather climate for the game. Game time temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 30's, presenting a challenging environment for players, performers and fans alike.
