Movers and Shakers: Visible Men Academy Announces New Assistant Principal

BRADENTON – Visible Men Academy has announced Mary Garcia Dodson as Assistant Principal/Reading Specialist. Mary brings a depth of experience in education from leading elementary and adolescent school age students to enhance reading skills as a Teacher and Literacy Coach to Director of Adult Education Programs at Barry University. Mary most recently was the Literacy Coach at Southeast High School in Manatee County.

 

“At Visible Men Academy our boys will have the opportunity to have their academic day enriched with the arts, world language and physical education. Our VMA family has a heart for our boys’ emotional, spiritual health, happiness and success. Our highly effective teachers will include plans for additional movement throughout the instructional day, a must for boys!” states Garcia Dodson.

 

Mary received her degree in Elementary Education from University of North Carolina and her Masters Degree in Science and Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

The mission of VMA is to provide boys with outstanding academic, character, and social education in a nurturing school environment. The purpose is to deliver a high-quality educational experience that meets the specific needs of elementary and middle school aged boys through the collaborative efforts of administrators, teachers, parents, the broader community, and the students themselves.
