Manatee Students Hit the Silver Screen

BRADENTON – This weekend is your chance to see the big-screen directors of tomorrow, as student filmmakers in the Manatee County School District premier their work at Film Rush 2013, Saturday at the South Florida Museum. The event is open to the public. Screenings begin at 6 p.m. and admission is free.
The top entries were selected by a jury consisting of select members of the Film Club of State College of Florida in categories including Narrative, Documentary, Experimental, Animation, Music Video, Public Service Announcement and Field Report News/Informational News Package.
Film Rush is the result of a unique collaboration between the School District of Manatee County, Manatee Educational Television, the State College of Florida Film Club, the South Florida Museum and the Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County, Inc. The South Florida Museum is located at 201 10th St. West, Bradenton.
