Jazz Fest Returns to Anna Maria February 21
ANNA MARIA ISLAND – The 8th annual Jazz Fest on Anna Maria Island returns this month. The event will take place Thursday February 21 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Sandbar Restaurant Pavilion. This year's event features the Gulf Drive Band, with Ted Young from Pittsburgh on piano and Bill Bowdish from Boston on flutes, saxes, and vocals. Anna Maria Island favorite, Koko Ray Hansen will also appear as a special guest.
The event is a great chance to hear an excellent jazz concert in a picturesque, while enjoying a drink in a beautiful, ocean front setting, all while benefiting a great cause. Tickets are $8 per person in advance (before noon on February 21) and $10 at the door. Refreshments at additional cost will be provided by the Sandbar Restaurant.
Proceeds from Jazz Fest benefit The Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.amicco.org, at the AMI Chamber of Commerce 5313 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach, at the Beach Market at Coquina Beach on Sundays at 1504 Gulf Drive S., Bradenton Beach, or by calling 941-778-8585. The Sandbar Restaurant Pavilion is located at 100 Spring Street, Anna Maria.
