BRADETNON – The Artist’s Guild of Manatee and The Village: Magazine of the Arts are partnering to present The Village: Music Fest. 20 musical acts will cover the Village of the Arts neighborhood with live music at various galleries and the center green, during the first Friday ArtWalk on March 1.
Music will run from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. Some of the local bands & musicians will include Brazos the Cat, Us Entangled, Steve Arvey, Cats in the Basement, Dropin' Pickups, The New Graves and Elephant in the Room.
Many Village businesses, including Heart’s Desire, The Village Mystic, Arts & Eats, Yoga Arts, VMI Media Group, The Dancing Crane, Bits & Pieces, Rawk Shop and the Village Center Green will host musical acts.
There will be a beer truck by Cigar City Brewing on the center green. The Distillery Tavern and JJ Taylor will also provide craft beer for the event.
"Our never ending goal is to continue to make this area known for the creatives who live in and work in our community all year round," said Hector Ferran of VMI Media Group, creators of The Village, the area's only local magazine dedicated to print arts. "All of the music is local and the art is fresh."
