BRADENTON – Local business owners can receive guidance on business financing and cash flow stability at a Feb. 21 program co-sponsored by the South Manatee Business Coalition, SCORE and the University of South Florida Sarasota-Bradenton.
The seminar, to be held at the USF Sarasota-Bradenton campus, will feature David Brooks, area executive of Manatee County BB&T Corp., and Bill Coole, a mentor with Manasota SCORE who offers more than 40 years of senior financial executive experience.
“Business financing and operating cash flow are key components for any business interested in achieving growth and financial success,” said Richard “King” Barnard, a SCORE mentor and chair of the business coalition’s education committee. “They are critical to the success of any business.”
Attendees will learn about debt and equity financing opportunities including credit, leasing, and obtaining bank loans. They will also learn how to stabilize cash flow through management of inventory, payables, receivables and depreciation.
The program is 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Selby Auditorium, 8350 N. Tamiami Tr., Sarasota. Registration is $20 online, $25 at the door, or free to college students with I.D. Those who attend and become members of the business coalition will receive an additional three-month membership to the coalition, which is valued at $60.
