Manatee County High School Football Schedule: Nov. 23, 2012
MANATEE COUNTY – Playoff action is in full swing. Follow up your turkey day with some local high school football. Manatee hosts rival Venice this Friday night in a repeat of last year's round-two playoff game, while Palmetto travels to Lake Wales to take on a tough team that upset Southeast at home last Friday night, ending the Seminoles season and thwarting a much-anticipated rematch between the two local teams.
Palmetto should have what it takes to beat Lake Wales. Auburndale, who the Tigers easily handled last week, blanked them 21-0 just three weeks ago. But as they say in football, that's why they play the games. Manatee should be even more likely to beat the Indians, who they stomped 56-27 earlier this season and have now beaten five times in a row. For complete analysis of both games, click here.
