Palmetto Hosts Veterans Day Parade Sunday

PALMETTO – The Manatee County Veterans Council and the City of Palmetto will host their annual Veterans Day parade and service Sunday. The Parade will begin at the Manatee County Fairgrounds at 9:30 a.m. and end at Sutton Park, where the Service will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Guest speakers include Palmetto Mayor Shirley Groover Bryant, Commissioner Larry Bustle, Senator Mike Bennett and Lt. General James H. Johnson, US Army (Retired). Local entertainers Robin Miller, Belinda Hill and Jennifer Eddy will perform the music of the Andrews Sisters.
Sutton Park is located at 6th Street W. and 10th Avenue West in Palmetto. The Manatee County Fairgrounds are located at 1402 14th Avenue West Palmetto, between 10th Street West to the south and Memphis Road to the north.
