BRADENTON – Early voting in Florida is now underway. Registered voters can begin casting ballots for the November 6 general election, but only at the Supervisor of Elections office, today through Saturday, November 3. Early voting will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. When early voting closes at 7 p.m. November 3, all voters who have not yet participated, can only vote at their precinct polling location on Tuesday November 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Because of new legislation passed by the Florida state legislature, early voting has been reduced to 8 days from 14. Counties are now only required to offer 48 hours of early voting over that time. Manatee County is offering its voters the 96-hour maximum early voting opportunity. The Manatee County Supervisor of Elections office is located at 600 301 Blvd. W., Suite 118, adjacent to the Manatee Sheriff's Office headquarters. Click here to see a sample ballot.
