A fifth generation Manatee County resident raised in Palmetto and Bradenton, Tamara Cornwell is running unopposed for Palmetto Commission At Large 2.
Having served nine years on the Palmetto City Commission, Cornwell believes the city’s repairs have been overlooked, but because of the commission’s efforts, roads, reuse and underground water are improving and being added to an ongoing maintenance schedule.
Cornwell is Palmetto’s former Vice Mayor and Police Liaison and has four children with husband Frank Brunner. She is involved in the community through her participation with the Gold Star Club and Manatee County Fair Board. She is unopposed in the November election.
