Wanting to “redefine political representation,” Binnie Williams is contending for Bradenton City Council’s Ward 2.
Williams previously ran for Manatee County School Board, but lost, though she earned more than 10,000 votes. She has chaired organizations and participated throughout the area as a community organizer.
She co-founded the Green Bridge Fan Club, Youth Services Clearinghouse, the Rubonia Youth Center and the county’s oldest domestic violence shelter for women and children, also serving as co-coordinator for a one-stop social services center.
As a volunteer, Williams donates her free time to the Girl’s Club and Adopt-a-Family and is a member of Altrusa, Manatee Chamber of Commerce and Hope of Manatee.
