Manatee County Animal Services Needs Volunteers for October 27th Event

Published Tuesday, October 2, 2012

MANATEE COUNTY – Animal lovers who want to help Manatee Animal Services are encouraged to volunteer for the  “Does Tricks Loves Treats” adoption event set for October 27th.

“Adoption is one of our key programs in the No Kill plan,” said Kris Weiskopf, Animal Services Chief. “We need volunteers who want to become a member of the no-kill community.”

Volunteer adoption counselors will guide new pet parents through the adoption process during the event, which is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 27th.  Animal Services is seeking at least 20 volunteer adoption counselors.

To become a volunteer for “Does Tricks Loves Treats,” please email tammy.bentley@mymanatee.org with your contact information.

The special event will be held at both Animal Services locations: in Palmetto, 305 25th St. W. and in Bradenton, 1002 B., Manatee Ave. W. Preview available animals by visiting www.mymanatee.org/pets. For more information, call (941) 742-5933.
