Savory, Even at Night

Cancun Hisbiscus Lobster

SARASOTA – You know Savory Street Cafe for their pastries, delicious breakfast and lunch menu, and as a neighborhood place in The Rosemary District, where you can feel at home with a cup of coffee and a great meal. But Savory Street at Night is so much more, with a gourmet dinner menu at a great price. Chef Claudia is nothing less than inspiring. She has a passion for food that shines in every bite of her new menu for Savory Street at Night.

Claudia is creating gorgeous traditional Latin American and Spanish cuisine. Every dish has a story, an origin, and a place in her heart. It is a unique and beautiful culinary experience. On a recent visit, I got to enjoy some amazing dishes. The Mayan Lentil soup is out of this world. Rich and creamy, with a perfect blend of sweet and spice. The Latin Ceviche was stunning – a work of art that tasted incredible.

My favorite appetizer is the Chorizo Mussels, which are so fresh and flavorful, I could eat them all night. But then I wouldn't have room for the Cancun Hibiscus Lobster or the Tampiquena Steak. The lobster is fresh and sweet, with a hibiscus flower reduction that is the perfect compliment. The steak is a very traditional Latin dish, with way more flavor than you would expect. The beans and rice in this dish are amazing, and the cheese and pepper tart is outstanding

An evening at Savory Street is a delight. Delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, and great people. Savory Street offers a unique dinner you will be talking about to everyone.
