Seretha Anderson joins Bayshore Technologies

Seretha Anderson has joined Bayshore Technologies as a Vendor Relationship Manager. Seretha has 20 years in Sales and Marketing in the technology industry. Seretha has held positions at Hewlett Packard, Compaq and Zenith. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from University of Alabama - Huntsville. Seretha will work closely with Bayshore’s vendors, fostering and managing relations with over 60 partners.

Manatee County Animal Services offers “Summer of Love” throughout September

Help make it a “Summer of Love” for the animals at Manatee County Animal Services.  Be sure to check out our long term residents who are now “Free to a Good Home.”  These dogs and cats have been at our shelter for over 60 days and are in need of finding their forever families.  All dogs and cats will receive a health certificate, all current vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro-chipped, a $10 license fee is required for Manatee County residents.

“Visit Manatee County Animal Services where we have a great selection of dogs and cats who are looking for a summer full of love.” said Animal Services Chief Kris Weiskopf. “Help us reach our goal of a No Kill community by adopting today.”

This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.  Please help up save lives today!

Since the need for blood is non-partisan, Florida Blood Services (FBS) invites eligible citizens to answer the call of civic duty by giving blood to Elect Phillip A. Pint. This vital campaign to maintain a safe and adequate blood supply began with the influx of visitors to Tampa Bay for the Republican National Convention on August 26, and runs through the election until November 10, 2012.  As stewards of the community’s blood supply it is incumbent upon FBS to be prepared at all times to avert any blood shortages.

Generally healthy people age 16 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds can be blood donors.  Identification is required prior to donation.  For blood donor eligibility requirements click HERE.

C1 Bank Enters Into Definitive Agreement To Acquire U.S. Century Bank

Trevor Burgess, the Chief Executive Officer of C1 Bank, and Ramon E. Rasco, the Chairman of U.S. Century Bank, announced today that C1 Bank and CBM Florida Holding Company, have entered into a definitive agreement with U.S. Century Bank for the acquisition of Doral, FL based U.S. Century Bank. The acquisition will be accomplished through the merger of U.S. Century Bank into C1 Bank.

Recognized as a community bank, U.S. Century Bank has an excellent reputation in the South Florida market with $1.2 billion in assets and 24 banking centers in the Greater Miami area. This transaction will introduce C1 Bank to Miami Dade and Broward counties. The merger grows C1 Bank to approximately $2.2 billion in assets.

CBM Florida Holding Company was established in 2008 to acquire, capitalize and rehabilitate Florida banking institutions. Its first investment was completed in December 2009 when it acquired a controlling interest in Community Bank of Manatee followed by the May 2011 acquisition of First Community Bank of America and by the May 2012 acquisition of The Palm Bank.

C1 Bank, which is relocating its headquarters to St. Petersburg, FL in September, currently has approximately $925 million in assets. It has achieved nine consecutive quarters of profitability and has reported net income year-to-date as of June 30th of over $3 million.
