Fleming's Will Surprise You

SARASOTA -- Flemings is the quintessential prime steakhouse. With a luxurious atmosphere, a thoughtful wine list, a delicious menu, and attentive knowledgable staff, Fleming's is often thought of as a treat – somewhere you only go for a special occasion. However, I am here to tell you that Fleming's is much more approachable than that.

Fleming's is offering specials that make it a perfect night out for any budget. At the bar you can find their bar à la carte menu, with delicious offerings like filet mignon flatbread, salt and pepper shrimp, and their famous prime burger. The bar also offers drink specials, like their 5 for $6 'til 7, five premium cocktails for only $6 until 7pm daily.

Fleming's also offers a small plate menu that is perfect for weekday dining. The sliced filet mignon, served over shiitake risotto is one of my absolute favorite dishes anywhere. The New Bedford scallops are sweet and perfect.

If you are looking for something more substantial, I would recommend their filet. It is the perfect cut of steak, cooked to perfection. I love my steak with a side of the Fleming's potatoes. They are cheesy potato heaven. And don't forget dessert – the chocolate lava cake is a must-have.

Overall, Flemings is much more approachable than you might think. It is certainly the fine dining steak house in Sarasota, but it is also a great place for a more casual evening with friends.
