BRADENTON – The Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders are accepting registrants for the third annual Baseball Basics for Women clinic. The clinic is intended for young adult and adult women interested in learning or refining their baseball fundamentals. It will be held March 29th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at McKechnie Field.
Participation in Baseball Basics costs $40. Major league and minor league players and coaches will instruct participants in hitting, catching, running the bases and fielding. Each of the women will also receive a free t-shirt, a ticket to the March 31 Spring Training game against the Orioles. Dinner will be provided after the clinic by Gecko’s Grill & Pubs.
A portion of the proceeds goes to the Junior League of Manatee County. The Junior League of Manatee County is an organization promoting volunteering and community involvement from women.
Baseball Basics for Women is presented in partnership Manatee Memorial Hospital. The Baseball Basics for Women registration form can be accessed online at www.bradentonmarauders.com.
