MYAKKA CITY – In September of 2011, Levi Dakin was diagnosed with an Anaplasic Astrocytoma, a tumor in the brain. Because it is located in the pons region of the brain stem, it is inoperable. Dakin has completed 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherepy, which he continues to receive.
A lifelong Myakka City resident, Levi and his wife are expecting their third child as Dakin continues to fight the disease. His family is throwing a benefit rodeo/live auction this Saturday at the Circle S. Ranch in Myakka City. There will be great food, tons of cool items to bid on, and a live rodeo contest to keep you entertained.
The ranch is located at 38310 Clay Gully Road, Myakka City (map). Gates open at 10:15 and the live auction begins at 11:00 (get there early to register). The rodeo will start immediately after the auction.
