BRADENTON -- Surface high pressure will build in from the northeast today. The high will shift east into the western Atlantic tonight through the upcoming weekend with a southeast to southerly wind flow expected over the Gulf waters through the period. A weakening cold front will move into and stall out across the northern Gulf waters early next week as surface high pressure remains in place from the western Atlantic west across the central waters.
Thursday
Northeast winds around 10 knots becoming northwest in the afternoon. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Thursday night will bring north winds around 5 knots in the evening then becoming southeast overnight. Bay and inland waters smooth.
Friday
Southeast winds around 10 knots becoming south in the afternoon. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Friday night will bring southeast winds around 5 knots. Bay and inland waters smooth.
Saturday
Southwest winds around 10 knots. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Saturday night will bring southeast winds around 5 knots. Bay and inland waters smooth.
Sunday
South winds around 5 knots becoming southwest late in the afternoon. Bay and inland waters smooth. Sunday night will bring west winds around 5 knots in the evening then becoming east around 5 knots in the late evening and overnight. Bay and inland waters smooth.
