BRADENTON -- A cold front will move south of the waters tonight. Winds and seas will remain elevated through early tonight then lighter winds and lower seas are expected on Thursday as weak surface high pressure builds in. Increasing winds and seas will return to the waters late Thursday night into Friday as a reinforcing cold front moves south through the region. Lighter winds and lower seas are expected for the upcoming weekend as surface high pressure builds in over the Gulf.
Thursday
Southwest winds around 10 knots increasing to around 15 knots by afternoon. Bay and inland waters becoming a moderate chop. Thursday night will bring southwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northwest and increasing to around 20 knots. Bay and inland waters becoming choppy. A slight chance of sprinkles.
Friday
North winds around 15 knots becoming northwest 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon. Bay and inland waters a moderate chop. Friday night will bring north winds around 10 knots. Bay and inland waters a light chop.
Saturday
North winds around 10 knots. Bay and inland waters a light chop.
Sunday
North winds around 10 knots. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Sunday night
will bring northeast winds around 10 knots. Bay and inland waters a light chop.
