Poston Wins Reelection in 3-Way Bradenton Mayor Race
BRADENTON -- Bradenton Mayor Wayne Poston was on new ground in this year's contest, facing two well-organized opponents in a winner take all race during a presidential election. Poston's opponents were able to manage a majority of the combined votes (61 percent), but Poston was still able to prevail with 39 percent of the vote. Former Manatee Democratic Party Chair Richard O'Brien earned 33 percent of the vote, while Councilwoman Marianne Barnebey managed 28. Click here for our complete analysis of this race.
