Green expo brings conservation home
Ready to go green?
Yvette Little says that's her goal at the GreenHome Wamalama Green Business Expo to be held Saturday at the Sarasota Bradenton International Convention Center.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and admission is free.
There will be booths featuring companies offering “green” solutions for consumers, homes and businesses with events for children, too, including “The Talkin' Monkey Project” and Manatee County's only “green” elementary school.
For adults, you can drop off burned out fluorescent light bulbs and see a hybrid garbage collection vehicle from Waste Pro. There will also be drawings and prizes.
The convention center is at 8005 15th Street East in Sarasota. (See the map.)
