De Soto National Memorialís Concerts on the Lawn Presents Dana and Susan Robinson

Date: February 16, 2013Time: 5:30 pm
Location:  Show map DeSoto National Memorial
8300 De Soto Memorial Hwy
Bradenton, FL 34209

De Soto National Memorial’s concerts on the lawn presents Dana and Susan Robinson on Saturday, February 16. Music begins promptly at 5:30pm. Dana and Susan Robinson are two guitar-playing, banjo-frailing, fiddle-sawing, and harmony-singing interpreters of the American experience. Their unique blend of contemporary songwriting and traditional Appalachian music bring to their performances a deep understanding of America’s musical heritage.

The genius of a Dana and Susan Robinson performance lies in their ability to capture the imagination of their audience, evoking a transformative experience that touches on the deepest humanity. They can make the audience howl with laughter or hush with poignant reflection as they take them on a journey across America and convey the mystery and wonder of the places they visit.

"Dana Robinson's set was easily the best individual segment of the evening. The acoustic solo performer is at the mercy of his or her instrumental aptitude; Robinson's talent as a guitarist clearly stood alone in this show. He is also blessed with an incredible voice which serves him well across a wide variety of arrangements." — The Burlington Free Press

"..A poet's perspective delivered in quietly spectacular musicianship... the music sounds laid back even while his guitar licks are knocking your socks off" — Music Matters Review

So come out and join us for a night of wonderful music under the stars. Make sure to bring your blankets and chairs. Concessions will be provided courtesy of the Bradenton’s own Chop Shop.

Admission is free, the concert begins promptly at 5:30pm parking is available on a first come basis. All activities are subject to change due to weather.
