Island Branch Library Program: Southeastern Guide Dogs

The Friends of the Island Branch Library are pleased to welcome Jennifer Bennett to the Library on Thursday, February 7, 2013 starting at 2:00 p.m. 

A volunteer speaker with the organization, Bennett will present an interesting program entitled "Follow the Puppy." Her program describes the training that is required before these truly amazing dogs are "matched" with an individual. 

The program, which is part of the Alice Taylor Reed Lecture and Travel Series, is FREE and seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis. No prior registration is necessary. 

Special programs such as this are made possible by funds generously provided by the Friends. The Friends are a support organization for Manatee County’s Island Branch Library. Monies raised by the Friends go toward programs and services that tax dollars alone cannot provide.
