6081 26th Street West
Bradenton, FL
The South Manatee Branch Library is pleased to welcome Valerie Strange to the library on Saturday, January 26, 2013 starting at 10:30 a.m.
Strange will present “Learn to Knit,” a two-hour class for beginners. (Please note that attendees must bring their own #6, #7, or #8 knitting needles as well as a skein of smooth, “worsted weight” yarn.”)
The class will teach basic knitting stitches and techniques, as well as what types of yarn and size of needles to use. She will also show how to read a yarn label and simple pattern reading.
Knitting is “two sticks and a string—anyone can knit,” states Strange. She’ll have you knitting in minutes.
The program is free and everyone is welcome to attend. There is no advance registration required; seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
The South Manatee Branch Library is located at 6081 26th Street West in Bradenton, Florida. For more information, please call the library at 941-755-3892.
