The Friends of the South Manatee Branch Library are pleased to announce their “Author Who....” series book discussion group meetings, to be held in the library's meeting room on the fourth Friday each month (except for the month of June, on which the meeting will start on the third Friday) starting at 10:00 a.m.
This is a monthly program for people who enjoy the works of popular authors. The Friends will lead a presentation regarding the interesting, curious, and sometimes remarkable facts about the author, followed by an engaging group discussion!
The next six authors whose work will be discussed in the group meeting will be:
- Alice Hoffman on Friday, January 25
- Malcolm Gladwell on Friday, February 22
- Peter Matthiessen on Friday, March 22
- Carl Hiaasen on Friday, April 26
- Edith Wharton on Friday, May 24
- Julian Barnes on Friday, June 21
The FREE book discussion group is open to everyone, with seating available on a first come, first serve basis.
