The Bradenton Times Polls

Poll Question: Do you think that when a drunk driver injures or kills a passenger who is also inebriated and willingly got into the car knowing the driver's state, it should be viewed the same as if they killed or injured a sober motorist or pedestrian who was not in their vehicle, in terms of their sentencing?

Yes, either way their choice and action caused death or injury  No, they should still be punished but some of the responsibility lies with the person who chose to get in the car More polls »

Location:  Show map Braden River Branch Library

The Friends of the Braden River Branch Library are pleased to welcome playwright and performer Steve Carroll, who will present a fascinating one-man play on Saturday, February 16, 2013 starting at 10:30 a.m.

Carroll portrays the title character in "Charles Lindbergh: the Lone Eagle," a biographical play he has written about the famed aviator. In the play, Lindbergh has returned from the grave to set the record straight about his life: the audience learns of his early days as a barnstormer, his flight to Paris, his son's kidnapping and more. It concludes with Lindbergh’s final days as a renowned environmentalist.

Playwright Steve Carroll has appeared in dozens of plays in New York City, having worked in theatre for over 40 years.

Light refreshments will be served starting at 10:00 a.m., and the Friends will hold their Annual Meeting immediately prior to the program.

Seating for this free program will be available on a first come, first serve basis. No registration is necessary.

Special programs such as this are made possible by funds generously provided by the Friends. The Friends are a support organization for Manatee County’s Braden River Branch Library. Monies raised by the Friends go toward programs and services that tax dollars alone cannot provide.

The Braden River Branch Library is located at 4915 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton, Florida. For more information, please call the library at 941.727.6079
