Join the Friends of the Central Library on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 starting at 2:00 p.m. in the library’s auditorium as they welcome special guest speaker, author Donald Thompson.
Have you ever been out to Egmont Key and wondered about its history? This is your chance to find out everything about this historically-important island in Tampa Bay. Join the Friends of the Central Library in welcoming author Donald Thompson who is going to tell us all about the history of this key. Donald and Carol Thompson have written and published a brand new book titled, “Egmont Key: A History.”
The event is free and seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis. There is no advance registration required.
The Friends are a support organization for Manatee County’s Central Library. Monies raised by the Friends go toward programs and services that tax dollars alone cannot provide.
