First Baptist Church of Palmetto is now registering children for AWANA, a Bible-based club for children age 3 through sixth grade. AWANA provides Bible studies, games, singing and special events during the school year. The club meets from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 5.
