South Manatee Library presents program on Stress Management

The South Manatee Branch Library is pleased to announce a program on Stress Management on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 1:00 until 3:30 p.m.
Dr. Michael Spellman, with the Carter Psychology Center will help attendees identify stress triggers, teach how to turn some stress to ones’ advantage, and how to cope when the stress is overwhelming. He will also explain that not all stress is necessarily bad, and that preventing it is easier than many people think.
A licensed psychologist who has been practicing in Florida since 1987, Spellman has served as Chief of Staff at several of Southwest Florida's hospitals, as a Commissioner on Florida's Commission on Mental Health and Substance Abuse, and was awarded the prestigious Heiser Award by the American Psychological Association. He has been recognized by his peers through a number of awards including Psychologist of the Year.
