What does the future hold for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid? How can these important programs become more sustainable and affordable? What role will politics play? On Monday, Nov. 12, we will host speaker Laura Feldman of the non-partisan research and advocacy group, National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, based in Washington, DC.
A graduate of American University, she has been working in outreach for the Committee for over 20 years. Prior to that she organized national programming for the National Science Foundation
Ms. Feldman will present “The Politics of Aging,” from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, at the Bradenton Woman’s Club, 1705 Manatee Ave. W. Discussion, questions and answers will follow. Refreshments begin at 11:30 am, and you may bring a brownbag lunch. For more information, call 729-9248.
