Manatee County announces 11 special events for school age children this summer at the South Manatee Branch Library. Starting on June 2 and continuing through July, enjoy the varied special guest presentations noted below:

Thursday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m. Purnama Sari Balinese Dance Co. presents Puppet Theatre & Craft
Saturday, June 16 at 1:00 p.m. Movie: Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Make a Journal Craft
Thursday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m. Juggling & Magic presented by Gerard Tricarico
Thursday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. Chocolate: Yummy Creatures of the Night
Thursday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. Razzmatazz: Ventriloquist, Magic, and Puppetry
Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. Read to a Dog! (advance sign up required)
Thursday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. Orisirisi: Moonlight Stories; African Folklore and Music
Thursday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. Mad Science!
Saturday, July 21 at 2:00 p.m. Monsterpiece Theatre: The Princess and the Dragon
Thursday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. Night Animals! Meet an Owl; Try on a Turtle Shell: presented by AMI Turtle Watch & Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
Seating for all of these events is free and will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone is welcome to attend, and no registration is necessary.
